New Project in Illinois: Enhanced Safety at Indian Creek High School with Tecfire

Indian Creek High School, located to the west of Chicago, is advancing its safety initiatives as part of an expansion to better serve its growing student population. In this endeavor, the school has chosen Tecfire to provide a state-of-the-art fire-resistant glass system.

Tecfire’s expertise in fire-rated glass systems is integral to enhancing safety in educational environments, ensuring the protection of students, staff, and vital educational resources. A key feature of this installation is the Steelfire STB80 fire resistive glazed curtain wall. This product stands out for its robust fire-resistant capabilities, offering 120 minutes of fire resistance with hose stream test. It has been rigorously tested and certified in accordance with the ASTM E119 (2020) and UL 263:2011 Ed.14+R:14Mar2022, ensuring top-notch safety and reliability.

The Steelfire STB80 Fire resistive Glazed Curtain Wall’s dimensions, spanning 35 feet in width and 6.5 feet in height, make it not only a safety asset but also an architectural highlight of the school’s infrastructure. With unmatched fire protection, thermal insulation, and resistance to wind suction, the Steelfire STB80 glazed curtain wall system reigns as the ultimate choice for safeguarding large surface areas and building facades. It surpasses even the most demanding architectural requirements.

Through this project, Indian Creek High School is significantly enhancing its educational infrastructure, merging essential fire safety measures with its expansion goals. The adoption of Tecfire’s advanced Steelfire STB80 technology exemplifies the school’s commitment to providing a secure, safe, and conducive learning environment.
